Why the rack is sorted this way

Most sock catalogues sort by colour, and colour is the last thing that decides whether a pair works. What decides it is height. A shaft that stops under a shoe collar and a shaft that runs up the calf are two different garments even when the yarn is identical.

So the first axis here is height: low cut, ankle, crew, knee high. The second is how thick the knit runs. The third is whether the sole carries silicone. Every box on the site states all three before it states anything else.

What a box is

Almost everything we knit leaves the machines as a multipack. A run of one pattern gives identical heels, identical toes and cuffs that all hold the same. Buying a box of them is the cheapest way to stop matching odd socks on a Sunday evening.

The number of pairs is written on every box page, along with the height, the knit weight and what the sole does.

How buying works here

There is no cart on this site and no checkout. Every box button opens that box at the retail partner that stocks and fulfils it. Payment, packing, the parcel and anything that happens after you click are theirs, under their own rules.

We take a share of qualifying purchases made through those buttons. That share comes out of the partner side and never changes what the box costs you.

What we do not do

• We do not hold stock, so we cannot tell you what is on a shelf right now.
• We do not take payment and never see a card number.
• We do not pack parcels and cannot look one up.
• We do not decide what a box costs on the day you open it.

What we can do is tell you exactly how a pair is knitted and which height suits which shoe. That is the part we know.
